I have launched today my Hadrian's Wall Tours.
If you have ever though about visiting the evocative borders of England & Scotland and seeing Hadrian's Wall, well I can help.
Your Guide
I have an unrivalled knowledge of the Wall's history and the turbulent borders region. You can be assured that your guide know's his stuff, but one who importantly doesn't preach at you, but one who talks to you as a friend.
On all the tours, there is the option to finish the day back at my home where we can relax and open a can or two and take a look around Drawdykes Castle. If your on the two day tour, we may be able to get a game in on my wargames table or if food is more of a priority, have an evening meal at one of the rather nice local nearby pubs.
I cannot emphasize enough that these tours are not regimented written in stone affairs, but friendly and flexible walks and talks given by someone who is dedicated to bringing history to life and who is unceasing in his desire in acquiring the knowledge to be able to do so.
I must also stress, these tours are not cheap and cheerful down market treks along the Wall, but ones where your guide has a passion and knowledge of the history of the Wall that is difficult to surpass.
Helicopter Tours
I can arrange helicopter tours along the Wall line with headphones so that I can enlighten you about the forts and sites that we pass over.

Flexibility
Should you rather visit such sites as Culloden and Flodden Battlefields or castles such as Edinburgh and Stirling, then I can shape a tour around your preferred requirements.
Each tour is your tour, so we talk before hand and create one that brings you what you want to do and see.
(There will be an additional cost to cover petrol for trips up into Scotland to visit non local sites)
There are 4 types of Tours
1 - Single Day Tours where we visit sites and locations of your choice for a full day from 8am - 6pm.
2 - Two Day tours with yourself having booked your own accommodation and meeting up with me each morning, or if local, myself picking you up and dropping you off each day.
I can recommend good Hotels and Bed & Breakfast accommodation along the Wall line.
3 - Tours where you stay at my home at Drawdykes Castle.
These will be from September 2008.
4 - Walking Tours - If you want to walk the entire Wall over 4 or 5 days, just get in touch for prices and preferred dates email me
Tour Dates
During May, June, July and August of 2008 it's Tours 1, 2 & 4 which are available. Thereafter from September 2008 onwards I will be able to accommodate people within my home at Drawdykes Castle which is located on the Wall line.
As my work is extremely flexible it is far easier for you to contact me with dates which you prefer. Once I start to get confirmed bookings, I will post those dates on my dedicated Wall web site.
I will be posting regular adverts and updates within the Wargames Press and other National outlets, so I expect bookings to be taken up quite quickly.

Deposit
Once availability is confirmed, a deposit of 50% secures your tour. The remainder is payable on the tour date. All payments can be paid either by PayPal via the Internet or Credit/Debit card over the phone.
